When you join VeraMap, your phone creates its own secret code — like a combination only your family knows.
That combination never leaves your device. It's saved privately on your phone, not on our servers.
When your location updates, it gets scrambled using that combination on your phone before it goes anywhere. By the
time it reaches our servers, it's already unreadable — and we don't have the combination to reverse it.
When you invite someone to your loop, your phone personally seals a copy of the combination just for them — addressed
to their device and nobody else's. Our server just passes the sealed envelope. It never sees what's inside.
If someone leaves your loop, the combination changes completely. Their old copy becomes useless. They can't read
a single update after the moment they leave.
This is what "encrypted" actually means. It's not a setting we turned on. It's the architecture —
your location is scrambled before it ever leaves your hands, and only the people you chose can unscramble it.
